Moore, a native Atlantian, was obviously influenced by filmic bloodletting, screen violence and insane characters. But he transcends himself by putting brutality in quotation marks, traipsing hand in hand with absurdity. But this material is witty, ironic and inspired—although the squeamish should know to stay away.
