Blank Page Screenwriting Meeting
Where the dedicated and talented screenwriters of the North-metro Atlanta area come together to share ideas, scripts, friendship and critique. We meet every other Tuesday. In-between meetings, we hang out here! This is a non-competitive comradery. This meeting of the minds helps to mold each script into something that is producible and marketable. The creative enthusiasm shared is invaluable to each of our writers.
Each writer is in development of a full length feature film and developing others. Scripts are constantly improving and being developed for production as they prep for the next phase, “Under Budget”, which is our meeting of independent film producers. Writers thrive in the supportive and challenging environment as they both share and offer credible feedback to each other’s screenplays. Both investors and producers can be insured that each script will go through a rigorous internal review before handed off to the next phase.
Under Budget Producers Meeting

Under Budget is an invite only producers meeting at Blank Stage Studio.
At Under Budget producers develop and vet their production plans, investor packages, marketing and distribution plans. We invite guest speakers to come and walk us through various aspects of the production process. Out goal is to leverage the collective expertise in the room and develop airtight projects.
Monomyth Improv Acting Study
Intense improv study of Joepsh Campbell’s monomyth.
Monomyth is an invite only trope of actors dedicated to the art of story-telling through improvisation.
Through the art of improvisation, the core acting company at Blank Stage studies this challenging format. Tackling various genres the troupe creates new and engaging stories through each workshop. Each actor is cast as the hero, villain, prince, mentor, ally and so on. These stories are given to our writing team and developed into elements for a screenplay.

A thriving actor’s hub, Charisma Studios is owned and operated by Brent’s wife, Karli G. Brooks. Charisma Studios offers the actor coaching, classes and casting.
Getting actors cast in the entertainment industry and keeping them working is one main goal for Karli G. Brooks, founding director and coach of Charisma Studios, but it is certainly not the only one. Conditioning the actor to become accomplished for the stage, the screen, as well as the industry are all key milestones in creating the balanced actor. At Charisma Studios there is a little something for everyone. All levels of experience are welcome as we build our core base community and begin the process of spawning new opportunities.

The 10 Commandments of Improv

The 10 Commandments of Improv course is 6-8 week course designed to teach students the basic and advanced tenants of the art of improvisation. Students learn and execute the commandments in a safe and supportive environment.

Owner of Blank Stage Productions, Brent Brooks has served as a Director and Executive Producer in the film and television industry for well over 12 years with commercial work appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “Regis and Kelly”.
Art of Suicide, winner of the “Best Underground Film” award at last year’s Indie Fest, is Brooks’ second independent feature film and showcases his talent as an “actor’s director”. Brooks was also honored with a “Davey Award” by the International Academy of the Visual Arts for his documentary The Artisan Resource Center: A Creative Enterprise.
Using the story structure outlined in “Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero’s Journey” Brooks has pioneered a new film brainstorming technique called “ImprovAstorm”. Brent also manages “The Blank Page” screenwriting meetings and the “Under Budget”, producer’s meetings.
