The Blank Page Screenwriting Meeting

Direction Notes: We are located in the Artisan Resource Center, a mile south of Marietta’s “Big Chicken” and directly behind an “Easy Rental”. The Easy Rental is between the AMF Marietta Bowling Center and a car wash, which is next to a MacDonald’s.

Every Tuesday night members of the Blank Page screenwriters group travel from across the city to hone their craft, network and get a chance to present their one-pagers to the business elite. One meeting is focused on long-form feature lengths screenplays and the other on short-form works. Many writers have used the group and have gone on to produce award winning shorts and successful projects. Writers are encouraged, get connected and many find themselves inspired to achieve more.

Members receive:

* Networking – Screenwriters are teaming up with the filmmakers, technicians, and building active production teams
* Rare Opportunities – Exclusive chance to present one-pagers to invited business leaders, investors, industry leaders and more

$30 per month for all meetings that month | $10 per meeting

Writers are allowed to present their one-pagers to the featured guests. We ask each guest to take them and vote on their favorite. Nothing is ever promised but we look to invite those are connected into the industry, may know people that are, or just people that want to see Blank Stage thrive. Some weeks there may not be a featured guest and some there may be several, as well as guests may get called into a job, such is life!

Owner of Blank Stage Productions, Brent Brooks has served as a Director and Executive Producer in the film and television industry for well over 12 years with commercial work appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “Regis and Kelly”.

Art of Suicide, winner of the “Best Underground Film” award at last year’s Indie Fest, is Brooks’ second independent feature film and showcases his talent as an “actor’s director”. Brooks was also honored with a “Davey Award” by the International Academy of the Visual Arts for his documentary The Artisan Resource Center: A Creative Enterprise.

Using the story structure outlined in “Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero’s Journey” Brooks has pioneered a new film brainstorming technique called “ImprovAstorm”. Brent also manages “The Blank Page” screenwriting meetings and the “Under Budget”, producer’s meetings.
