Karli G. Brooks – Founding Director/ Coach
Charisma Studios is a new acting studio concept created by actress Karli G. Brooks.
Karli G. Brooks is Charisma’s founding director/coach who is originally from Atlanta, GA and has played in several film, television, and theatre productions and commercials. She has experience acting in New York City.
Recently, she booked a role on an internet video spoof of E-Harmony called, “Loan Harmony”.
Karli earned her BA from Kennesaw State University in Theater Performance Studies. She has performed in several plays. Some include String of Pearls, Miracle on 34th Street, Les Liaisons Dangereueses, and HMS Pinafore. Karli has received two University awards for Best Actress in HMS Pinafore and Best Character Actress in The Sisterhood. She also has been recognized for her nomination through ACTF for the Irene Ryan Scholarship at the Kennedy Center.
Additionally, Karli has experience in the modeling industry where she has appeared in print projects and promoted products and spirits such as Crest, Scott Tissue, Glade, and the Adam Corolla Project.
Karli also enjoys working as an improviser. Besides, performing with the improv troupe, “The ICU” in Brooklyn, NY. Karli has performed short form and long form improv with the troupes “The OTC” and The Blank Stage Players in Atlanta. Karli lives by and encourages her students with her motto, “Make Acting Happen!”
Brent Brooks – Producer/ Improv Coach
Owner of Blank Stage Productions, Brent Brooks has served as a Director and Executive Producer in the film, television, and video industry for well over 10 years with commercial work appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “Regis and Kelly”.
Art of Suicide, winner of the “Best Underground Film” award at last year’s Indie Fest, is Brooks’ second independent feature film and showcases his talent as an “actor’s director”. Brooks was also honored with a “Davey Award” by the International Academy of the Visual Arts for his documentary The Artisan Resource Center: A Creative Enterprise.
Brent has been a well known improviser and has taught improv in Atlanta for over 12 years. He uses his conception the “Ten Commandments of Improv” to teach students the key fundamentals.
Brent has also performed with Atlanta’s improv troupes, “Comedic Response Unit” and “Comedy Cobb”. Now Brent Brooks has his own group of Blank Stage Improv players and is combining his talents by pioneering a new brainstorming technique called “ImprovAstorm” , a live marketing experience for companies looking to inject innovation into their marketing efforts through viral video campaigns that use comedy and storytelling as ways to build attraction.
Brent is also premiering new business building internet TV program entitled “ThriveAMERICA” in which Charisma Studios will soon have a monthly segment!
Candace Mabry – Modeling/ Acting Coach
Candace Mabry is a talented actress and model in Atlanta. She has played as the lead actress in several independent films and has been featured in many commercials, industrials, and print projects for Kraft, Rooms To Go, and Chick-fil-A.
She continues to hone her craft at Charisma Studios as a Master Class student and earned her BFA in Theatre at Western Kentucky University. Some of her stage credits include Crimes of the Heart, Dutchman, Little Women, and The Taming of the Shrew.
Candace’s fearless and can do attitude helps to bring out confidence, fun and professionalism in our students.
